Our client offers EPC and FEED solution to the energy and industrial markets. It focuses on the upstream oil and gas, liquefied natural gas and gas-to-liquids, refining, petrochemicals and chemicals, and pharmaceuticals industries. They have operated in the UK for over 80 years, but the bulk of its business is international with projects in Middle East and Asia employing 13,000 worldwide.

Position

The Engineering Manager will be assigned to a project, and would typically be a direct report to a Project Director. Based in the UK with occasional trips overseas. Current projects include LNG EPC project in Australia valued at $2Billion, a Petrochemical development in Singapore valued at $1Billion and a new gas refinery in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Management of multi-discipline engineering services on projects (generally managing Lead Engineers in Piping, Civil, Electrical, Instrument, and Equipment disciplines).
• Responsible for delivery of the engineering aspects of a project, thus responsible for ensuring that engineering meets the necessary quality requirements, and is executed to cost and schedule
• Prime point of contact with client on engineering aspects of a project
• Responsible for controlling and managing the engineering manpower requirements of a project
• Applicants must have significant experience in one or more of he following:- Oil & Gas, LNG & GTL, Petrochemicals, Chemicals and Pharmaceutical
• Other requirements:
• A proven track record in Engineering Management. to managing lump sum and reimbursable work.
• A broad technical knowledge combined with excellent leadership skills.
